Presentation Night & Disco 22 Nov

Presentation evening will take place at Arnold Hill Academy Auditorium on Friday 22 November 2019 from 6.30 - 8.00 pm - address: Gedling Road, Nottingham NG5

After Party and Disco follows at the Arnold Liberal Club from 8.30 - 11.00 pm
1 West Street, Arnold NG5 7DB

Swimmers you’ve done the hard work now it’s time to be rewarded.
Presentation night is the night when anyone who competed at Club Championships even in just one race get recognition for their hard work, some swimmers will receive trophies for coming 1st overall in their age group races, some swimmers will receive plaques for 2nd to 6th placing in age group races and anyone not placing as above but taking part will receive a medal.

All members are invited to attend a Special General Meeting of Arnold SC to approve the proposed revision of the Club's Constitution and Rules in line with Swim England recommendations

Dates: Sundays: 15 & 29 September @ Hucknall - Warm Up 8:30am
Plus Wed 25 September for 400m FREE only at 6.30pm at ALC

URGENT Membership Renewal 7 June

Deadline for renewal returns is Friday 7th of June if you have any issues meeting this deadline for collection or renewal please contact us via reply email to make us aware

After the 7th June any uncollected forms without contact will be destroyed
If you don’t wish to renew please let us know so we can destroy the form

Any swimmer wishing to swim after Friday 7th June MUST have their completed form returned and payment made

AGM Update

AGREED and NOTED:

Training Fees
Due to increases in pool hire fees by local authorities, training fees to be increased by £1 per month and Voucher Scheme also to increase by £1

NOVA Development fees to remain unchanged

Membership
Annual Membership costs to remain the same as 2018
Renewal due by 1 June 2019 - membership renewal forms to be available from 1 May

Club – Review
Another very successful year with a record numbers of County Qualifying times and (non-NOVA) Regional Qualifiers.

County swims resulted in 29 Gold, 16 Silver and 13 Bronze awards.

Internationally the Club has 3 swimmers competing for GB and/or Barbados.

Consistent achievements at local galas and leagues finishing:
top 10 at the Derby & Notts Junior League
4th in Div 2 of the Sports Centre League
Notts ASA - 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the Stage 1,
4th overall in Stage 2, and 5th overall in Stage 3.

Arena League - finished 12th out of 24 clubs

Thanks extended to all those who volunteer behind the scenes, on poolside as officials and the coaching staff for their continued support and commitment.

ASC's own Open Meet the Ernehale takes place on 9/10 March 2019 at Hucknall Leisure Centre

(Note there will be no training sessions on this date)

ALL members are welcome and encouraged to attend

Agenda will include election to Officer positions (Chair, Secretary & Treasurer and Club Committee), financial accounts including any changes to fees and general overview of the club

Congratulations - SwimMark Essential Re-accreditation

Congratulations to Club members who have been working furiously for months behind the scenes to ensure that ASC achieved Swim England's SwimMark Essential re-accreditation (quality mark for clubs)

SwimMark accreditation, formerly called swim21, is Swim England’s quality standard for clubs. It recognises high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness

ASC's award was confirmed by Swim England on 14 December 2018
