Cost is only £3.00 to enter the gala and you can swim as many events as you like in your age group. Come on, have a go.

So what does this mean for Arnold Swimming Club (ASC)?
ASC is a competitive swimming club that has a mixture of qualified and non-qualified staff. Over the last year the club has increased the number of qualified poolside staff from four to eleven. Moreover, a number of the Level 1 qualified coaches are looking to attaining a Level 2 coaching qualification, which at present is only held by Rob Clarke (Head Coach) and Bill Hopkins (Assistant Head Coach). This can only be to the benefit of the swimmers and the Club and will assist the Club in attaining Swim 21 accreditation.
The Club are also encouraging volunteers to attend child protection and disability training courses. These are funded by the Club. We recently had 6 volunteers attend a disabilitytraining course to assist with the training of disabled swimmers. ASC will be requesting information about any disabilities your child may have at membership renewal (May 2006).
This will include any visual impairment (e.g. wearing glasses), hearing impairment, learning difficulty and physical disability your child may have. This information is also requested by the ASA. The Club have a number of volunteers who will be attending a Child Protection course in May 2006.
ASC have recently completed Stage 1 of the Swim 21 audit and are hoping to attain Swim 21 accreditation by the end of 2006. If you have any questions about Swim 21 please contact Rob Clarke, Richard Marrison, Nick Rotten or Jim Shelton.
