Training Fee Change
	It has come to that time again when Arnold Swimming Club have to announce a change to training fees. This is never good news for anyone but Arnold Swimming Club’s Committee would just like to give you all the reasons behind the increase. As the years go on costs of pool hire generally increase, and since our return to Arnold Leisure Centre at the start of January we seem to have had a problem of overcrowding. As a result of this we have had to get pool time from other nearby Swimming Pools, as the club expands and takes on the new sessions our costs for pool hire increase. It is worth remembering that that the club is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers (apart from the head coach). Therefore, any extra costs need to be covered and unfortunately this is then reflected back on to our members. If you wish to find out more from the committee about the club’s administration and objectives please join us at the Annual General Meeting which will be held at Arnold Leisure Centre on 18th April 2007 at 7:30pm. The new fees take effect from 1st March 2007, and are listed below.
	Training Fees. Age of Swimmer at 31st December 2007 1st and 2nd swimmer in the same family (cash/cheque) 1st and 2nd child in the same family (STO) 3rd and subsequent swimmers in the same family Up to 8 £14.00 £11.50 £5.00 9 to 11 £21.00 £16.00 £5.00 12 and over £25.00 £19.00 £5.00
	Membership Fees. Month of Joining (2007-2008) All Swimmers Nova Swimmers June - September £55 £35 October £50 £32 November £44 £28 December £39 £25 January £33 £21 February £28 £18 March £22 £14 April - May £11 £6 Swimmers re-joining before May 31st will only be charged the current membership fee of £50.00 (£30.00 for Nova Swimmers).

	Recently Dany Cracolici has announced that he shall be resigning as the Clubs Treasurer. Dany has been a great asset to the club over the past 7 years. Since Dany joined the committee he has taken onboard many different roles taking the club from strength to strength. On behalf of all of the Committee, we would like to wish Dany all the best for the future and we will be seeing Dany around the club as he will still be helping us out with different things. Dany’s resignation will take effect from the 2007 AGM in April. After this date our new Treasurer will be Peter Watkins. As the job of Treasurer is very demanding we wish Peter all the best in his new role on the committee and offer all the support that we can.
			Courses
			Recently we have recruited some of our volunteers to take some ASA qualifications to show their dedication to the club. These courses lie in the line of 3 levels, Timekeepers, Judges and Starters. With the great response from our volunteers we have submitted a large list of names to the ASA of the people interested in these courses. We are still awaiting a response confirming the dates of the courses, and everyone involved will be given plenty of notice. If you are interested in taking part of any courses that we may run from time to time please let someone on the Club Desk know, who will then be able to pass you over to the right person. The committee would like to congratulate Gio Cracolici as he has just passed his lifeguard training.

	Results
			The 2007 Gala season is now well underway. With a great success in the first two legs of the Spring Minor Gala 2007 League, gaining 20 PB times, 2 Club Records, 3 1st Places and an overall 4th position in the First Round, and 11 PB times, 3 Club Records, 5 1st Places and an overall 3rd position in the Second.
	This has put Arnold Swimming Club in the Top lane in the C Final, to be held at Arnold Leisure Centre on the 17th March. The older club members who have swam in the Spring Competition have also started the season off with a great start with 14 PB times, 4 1st places and an overall 3rd place in the first round, and 6 PB times, 1 Club Record, 6 1st places and an overall 3rd place in the second round. The official results have not been released yet but with these results we should find ourselves in a good position in the Spring Competition final to be held on the 12th May.
	The 2007 Counties are now underway with our swimmers training hard and proving their abilities at these galas. So far the first 2 days (6 sessions) are now behind us with an outstanding 60 PB times have been set and 12 Club Records broken!!!!! We still have a long way to go this season and we hope that all of our swimmers do their best and continue the progression of the club to higher and even better results.
