Annual Galas
	As most of you know the Annual Galas are approaching now. This year the two Annual Gala nights will be held on June 23rd and June 30th. A list of events are shown below. Entries must be passed to the Club Desk by Friday 1st June and only those members who have paid their annual membership fees for 2007/2008 season will be accepted. There is an entry fee of £3.00 per gala night attended, regardless of the number of events entered on that night. The age group that you enter should be the age that you will be by 31st December 2007. Presentation of all trophies and awards will be at The Arnold Working Men’s Club on Wednesday 11th July. 	New Website.
	As some of you may now have noticed. The new look Arnold Swimming Club website is up and running. Arnold Swimming club has developed this new website as a more modern and up to date style website that we hope is more user friendly. If you experience any problems or if you have any comments about the website please feel free to e-mail the club or speak to David Fortescue (webmaster) on poolside at Arnold Leisure Centre. There will be a few more slight changes to come over the next few months. These will include a password protected members area for all of the Personal Best Times and Club Records. This password will be changed every few months and members will be informed via this newsletter of the change of the password. If you forget the password then you will be able to e-mail the club via the website to get a reminder sent to you. This can take upto 24 hours to come through but will only be sent out to e-mail addresses that the club holds. So please keep your contact details up to date with the club. The format for the Personal Best Times and club Records will also be changing, this is to include a section on each report that will show a member if their Personal Best time is a qualifying time for the Notts County championships held at the start of each year.
	Membership
	Its that time of year again when we ask everyone to rejoin the club. Membership forms are available from the Club Desk. Members are asked to fill in all details again so that we can keep our records up to date. Please had in all completed membership forms back to the club desk with full subscription payment, this will depend on what date you return your form to us, up to and including the 31st May will cost you £50 and from the 1st June subscription will cost £55.
	Have your say
	Do you want to have something mentioned in the swimming club’s newsletter or on the website? Do you have an announcement to make? Then please contact us either by e-mail or speak to the Newsletter Editor, David Fortescue, on poolside on training nights. We will do our best to get your article into the newsletter if it is appropriate. Some things to consider: We will only publish items that are appropriate to swimming or the club. The newsletter is only published every 2 months. Any inappropriate suggestions will be disregarded straight away. The committee has decided that Arnold Swimming Club should have names for each of our training squads. There are four squads that we have which are “insert squads”. The committee has decided that it would be a good idea if you as a swimmer were to get involved and help us name the squads. If you would like to make a suggestion then please speak to “rep” who will take your ideas. A final decision will be voted on at the committee meeting on “date”

	Results
	Our younger swimmers have now completed the Spring Minor Gala League for 2007. We managed to claim a 1st place at the C Gala of the Final Round of the Spring Minor Gala League. We managed to claim 9 Personal Best Times, 1 Club Record, and an amazing 27 1st Places! A huge congratulations to all of the swimmers who were involved in this gala. Our Older swimmers have also completed the Final Round of the Spring Competition.
